Registration

2012 Conference Registration
The CPSA conference dates are June 13-15, 2012 with the opening centenary celebration on Tuesday evening, June 12th. Delegates are able to register on-line until the last day of the conference and by mail and fax until 6 June 2012. On-site registration will begin on June 12th. The early registration date is 31 March 2012.

All participants must register for the CPSA conference. Anyone who does not causes a loss of revenue for the CPSA and is responsible for any increase in registration fees. By not paying, participants only serve to withhold much needed support for the CPSA and penalize their paying colleagues with higher fees.

In order to attend the CPSA conference, all delegates are required to pay one of the registration fees below. The special event fees are optional. The registration fee includes all coffee breaks, two receptions and the Centennial Celebration Pancake Breakfast. The fees listed below are GST and HST exempt. The registration fees do NOT include membership dues.

1) Registration

Registration Fees: Members of the CPSA

  • $85 -  students, retired and unwaged delegates registering prior to April 1st;
  • $105 - students, retired and unwaged delegates registering as of April 1st;
  • $110 - students, retired and unwaged delegates registering on site;

  • $105 - postdoctoral students registering prior to April 1st;
  • $120 - postdoctoral students registering as of April 1st;
  • $125 - postdoctoral students registering on site;

  • $225 - other delegates registering prior to April 1st;
  • $270 - other delegates registering as of April 1st;
  • $285 - other delegates registering on site.
Registration Fee: Non-Members

  • $185 -  students, retired and unwaged delegates registering prior to April 1st;
  • $205 - students, retired and unwaged delegates registering as of April 1st;
  • $210 - students, retired and unwaged delegates registering on site;

  • $205 - postdoctoral students registering prior to April 1st;
  • $220 - postdoctoral students registering as of April 1st;
  • $225 - postdoctoral students registering on site;

  • $160 – community partners/NGOs prior to April 1st;
  • $200 – community partners/NGOs as of April 1st;
  • $215 – community partners/NGOs registering on site;

  • $285 - other delegates registering prior to April 1st;
  • $330 - other delegates registering as of April 1st;
  • $345 - other delegates registering on site.

2) CPSA Presidential Dinner (optional) (400 tickets available)

Fantasyland Hotel - Tickets can be purchased with Registration.
Thursday 6:30 - 9:30 pm
Ticket prices: $45 (students); $65 (all other delegates)

The CPSA President encourages faculty supervisors to invite their students to attend the dinner as their guests. This is a great opportunity to meet fellow political scientists! Spouses and guests are also welcome. Purchased tickets will be available for pick up at the on-site registration desk as of 12 June 2012.

3) Boas, Tiaras & Cummerbunds: A Closing Cocktail Party (optional)
Sponsored by the CPSA Women’s Caucus. This queer-friendly event is open to everyone.

Rutherford House – University of Alberta - Tickets can be purchased with Registration.
Friday 5 pm – 7:30 pm
Ticket prices: $20 (students); $30 (all other delegates)
Purchased tickets will be available for pick up at the on-site registration desk as of 12 June 2012.

4) Centennial Celebration Panel (Box Lunch) (optional)

Friday 12 pm - Tickets can be purchased with Registration.
Ticket prices: $13 (all delegates)
Purchased tickets will be available for pick up at the on-site registration desk as of 12 June 2012.

On-site Registration
The conference registration desk will be open as of 12 June 2012. The registration desk will be open as follows:

June 12 - 12 pm to 7 pm
June 13 - 8 am to 5:30 pm
June 14 - 8 am to 5:30 pm
June 15 - 8 am to 2 pm

ON-SITE PAYMENTS: CREDIT CARDS, CHEQUES OR CASH (EXACT AMOUNT)

Cancellations
Cancellations are accepted until 15 May 2012; a $75 service charge will be levied. Please contact the CPSA at cpsa-acsp @ cpsa-acsp.ca to request a refund.

Daycare service
Daycare service can be arranged for an additional fee by contacting the CPSA at cpsa-acsp @ cpsa-acsp.ca.
