The Canadian Political Science Association is very pleased to celebrate our 100th anniversary at the University of Alberta in 2012. Once again, the stand-alone format allows the excellent Programme Committee to enhace the meeting by organizing outstanding sessions and special presentations that will enrich the event and enliven the discussion. Join other CPSA members in Edmonton to celebrate both the discipine and our 100th year!

Steve Patten
Local Organizer, CPSA

Accommodating, vibrant, friendly, diverse – that’s how you will find Edmonton, Alberta’s capital and a city of over a million! Stay on campus, downtown, or in the trendy Old Strathcona neighborhood; enjoy a variety of events for relaxing, socializing, and celebrating the CPSA’s centennial; and use the campus’s excellent meeting spaces, indoors and outside. At this lovely time of year, explore Edmonton, with a rich arts and culture scene, or visit the fabulous Rockies before or after the meeting.

Yasmeen Abu-Laban
Programme Chair, CPSA

The 2012 Programme Committee will offer a wide-ranging and intellectually engaging array of workshops, panels, and speakers focussing on local, national and global politics. The Edmonton conference, occurring at the centennial of the Canadian Political Science Association, also features unique programming to commemorate and reflect upon the discipline’s past, present and future.

Indira Samarasekera
